Case Study // No.1
Project Overview
Designing a menu and ordering app for a street-food vendor involves creating a digital platform that enhances the customer experience, streamlines the ordering process, and helps the vendor manage their business more efficiently. Let's explore the full story of designing such an app.
The problem
Busy workers, professionals and commuters lack the time to visit a street food vendor and have their favorite without waiting in a queue and the vendor was facing difficulty.
The goal
Design an App that allows users to easily order their favorite street food from the menu and pick up fresh food. I designed an App with a proper menu and which is easy to use.
Responsibilities
Throughout the project my responsibilities were- user research, wireframing, Low fidelity prototyping, High fidelity prototyping, Designing Mockups.
User research
I conducted interviews and created empathy maps to understand the users I'm designing for and their needs. A primary user group identified through research was working professionals who don't have time to visit a street food vendor and have their favorite food.
Research also revealed that time was not the only factor .Other user problem included difficulty in using an App, Challenges that made it difficult to order street food online.

Usability study: findings
I conducted usability study. Findings from the study helped guide the designs from the wireframes to mockups.
Findings
-
Users were not able to come back to the Home page.
-
Users faced difficulty in signing up.

Accessibility considerations
-
Used icons to help make navigation easier.
-
Avoided color combinations that could be hard to distinguish.
